The Black Agenda: Should be "Regime Change"

Why can't the black community take cues from all over the world where oppressive, self serving leadership structures are being forced out? When we study Black History we see that any progress that was made was undertaken and executed by young people. Fredrick Douglas was in his 30's when he participated in the abolitionist movement and fought for women's suffrage, Dr Martin Luther King and his cadre of constituents were in their 20's and 30's. The Children's March of 1963 was led by High School aged children. Transformative change has always been facilitated by young people, the old folks have always tried to hinder progress. It was the old guard ministers that fought against Dr. Martin King Jr. Now here we are in 2011 instead of being on display in a museum or on tour with Tavis Smiley's "I AM African American Exhibit", we still see the same old faces and organizations trying to led. Michael Jordan was the greatest, he changed the game, he made the way for Kobe and Lebron but for God's sakes he had to retire and get off the court. As Long as we have to rely on organizations like the NAACP, the Urban League, the SCLC (cough *is a joke*) as the "Leading Black Institutions", the advocacy thought leaders, then Black America will continue to be "socially narcoleptic".

We need new voices from a younger generation like Jeff Johnson to be heard - the Geriatric icons no longer resonate in the community because they no longer live in the community. Leading Blacks and Black organizations are too busy being important and congratulating each other for PAST success , battles won and doing "photo ops" while the black community continues to go BACK TO THE FUTURE.

THE BLACK AGENDA - is an Oxymoron, what plan or program do we have to address the multiplicity of issues we face? What we do have are vacillating leaders and organizations that move with the money. We all know all the "Black Statistics" and they show as a whole have gone Back to the Future, we have regressed - YET all our leading organizations do is throw banquets, award shows and celebrations, congratulating each other while the black community continues to spiral on a downward trajectory to the abyss. Which brings me to a solution of sorts:

A CIVIL RIGHTS HALL OF FAME:

I wish they would build one, so all these civil rights icons and organizations can go retire and get in it so we can go forward and deal with the issues of today. The typewriter was GREAT for its day, The Sony Walkman was hot for its day, Bell Bottoms were in style but the bible says every thing has a TIME AND A SEASON. Let Moses celebrate escaping slavery meanwhile Joshua still has many giants to face and many walls of Jericho must come down in order for the people to enter into the promised land.

Are we in danger? Are we in need of help? Is the "boogie man" (anything we use to induce paralysis as a race) out to get us? Now that the midterm elections are over we seem to think its the 1800's. Black people remind me of the Children of Israel, when facing trouble they always wanted a man , a leader, a super hero to go before them, and not just trust and rely on God.

1Sa 8:6 But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, "Give us a king to judge us." And Samuel prayed to the LORD.

1Sa 8:7 And the LORD said to Samuel, "Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.

1Sa 8:9 Now then, obey their voice; only you shall solemnly warn them and show them the ways of the king who shall reign over them."

1Sa 8:10 So Samuel told all the words of the LORD to the people who were asking for a king from him.

1Sa 8:11 He said, "These will be the ways of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen and to run before his chariots.


This is what our black leaders and some of our leading black churches have done, they have leveraged our sons for their own benefit. They run people, if you have ever heard preachers talk in private they ask each other "how many you running", meaning how many people you got, how many are you leveraging and monetizing. The Black service organizations do it too, they monetize the people and their dysfunction and package it for promotion and distribution no different than Black exploitation films to be seen nationwide to reinfore the self debilitating behavior.

Yet soon one day you will wake up and realize "You've been hoodwinked. You've been had. You've been took. You've been led astray, led amok. You’ve been bamboozled"


1Sa 8:18 And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will not answer you in that day."

The NAACP, Nat’l Urban League, Rainbow Push, National Action Network, the intellects, the boule', the Democrats etc etc they all empower the "boogie man" for a FEE. Business is booming because these organizations get money from the government and corporate donations and endowments in many forms to help keep Negroes (dead folk) enslaved in the Matrix. Listening to these "drum majors" for "just" - "us" them, are in it (the "struggle") for themselves and what they get out of it. I been listening and looking over the landscape for the last 50 years, as we been marching around these same mountains and very little about the scenery has changed. Instead of bell bottoms the pants sag, the bushes in this desert place have gotten bigger and the vultures have gotten more passive aggressive. Some of you will begin to notice that you have been here before. Yet outside of the rules of the Matrix in Zion, in Christ we are not to "march" anymore but just simply ask mountains to move.

Mar 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

But we doubt God, we FEAR man (the racial boogie man) and thus we still "marching" around mountains, getting dirty and dusty.

These leading blacks/organizations keep saying the "walls have not come down", I submit to you that the TOUR GUIDES (self appointed leaders of black folk in America), these organizations and persons continue to lead the willing negroes into the wilderness, where there is constant famine, sand storms and no water. These organizations continue to add fuel to the fire they continue to stir the pot. Tavis is always blaming white people but he seems to have white sponsorship for everything he does (Wal-mart , McDonald's etc). We have black intellectuals like Dr. Cornel West that "love the people" so much that he does not teach at a historically black school. Most of these individuals and organizations are living comfortable and well off and we still allow them to "speak for us" for profit. These organizations/individuals make money keeping Negroes focused and distracted onthe walls and barriers. Volumes of books have been published on racism in America. They would have you cry about the walls of Jericho that are "preventing", yet we in Christ should see an open door:

Rev 3:8 "'I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

If you study our history u will see many African Americans who were not mentally enslaved who still prospered, those who feared God and prospered even before the emancipation. Finally we thought having Moses in the White House was going to mean "The Big Payback”, alas that was a dream, and dreams are for those who are asleep. We got to stop denying the NAME and get back under the headship of Christ and the Kingdom of Heaven.

As Tina Turner sang in Mad Max Beyond the Thunder Dome "We don't need another hero"

At some point Black Folks have got to realize:

Jos 1:2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, [even] to the children of Israel.

When will the descendants of the Tribe of Judah follow the command?
